An Important Message from the Scottish Children’s Lottery Trust.

Thank you for visiting the Scottish Children’s Lottery Trust website.

A New Chapter for the Scottish Children’s Lottery

After several years of proudly promoting the Scottish Children’s Lottery and distributing good cause funding to charities and organisations making a real difference to the lives of children and young people across Scotland, the Scottish Children’s Lottery Trust is entering a new phase.

From the 1st of May 2026, the promotion of the Scottish Children’s Lottery and the distribution of good cause funding will transition to the Jackpot Community Trust (Scottish Charity No. SC052059). This change represents an exciting new chapter in the ongoing story of the Scottish Children’s Lottery, where the Jackpot Community Trust will continue to champion the vital work being done to support children and young people across Scotland

A Note for Recent Grant Applicants

We want to provide important reassurance to all organisations that submitted an application during the Scottish Children’s Lottery Trust’s first 2026 funding window, which closed on Friday 24th April 2026.

Your application will continue to progress through the assessment process exactly as advertised, and the timeline communicated to you at the time of submission remains in place:

Funding Announcements: By the end of June 2026

Funding Distributed: August 2026

The only change affecting your application is that, as a result of the transition from the Scottish Children’s Lottery Trust to the Jackpot Community Trust from the 1st of May 2026, the review, decision-making and distribution of funding will be overseen by the Jackpot Community Trust Board rather than the Scottish Children’s Lottery Trust Board. For successful applicants, funding will be distributed by the Jackpot Community Trust rather than Scottish Children’s Lottery Trust

We want to be clear that this change has no impact on the integrity of the assessment process or the timeline for decisions and awards. Your application will be given the same careful and thorough consideration it would have received under Scottish Children’s Lottery Trust’s stewardship.

The online grant platform remains in place and fully operational. Organisations can continue to access the platform using their existing log in details and through the usual link, nothing changes in terms of how you access or use the platform. Please note that in the coming weeks the platform will be updated to reflect the transition to the Jackpot Community Trust, however this will have no impact whatsoever on current applications, previous applications or any historic awards made through the platform.
